New immigration program to the Canadian province of New Brunswick with facilities for international students

 New Brunswick, Canada, launched its new immigration program in early April 2022 under the “New immigration stream for international graduates of private career colleges.” 

The new Canadian Immigration Program was launched in cooperation with Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada and aims to help support the province’s growing needs for workers in many areas. 


New Brunswick International Graduate Immigration Program for Private Vocational Colleges kicks off.



Under the new immigration system, effective April 1, 2022, international students who have graduated from one of 4 private vocational colleges in the Canadian province of New Brunswick and who have studied one of 19 specific occupations (listed below) will be able to apply to the Nomination Program Ithlimy immigration. 

These students are allowed to work and live in the Canadian province while they wait to obtain their permanent residence in Canada. 

Teaching colleges participating in the International Graduate Immigration Program are:


“We are excited that we can help keep more international students in Canada by opening an innovative pathway created for New Brunswick,” said Arlene Dunn, the Canadian minister responsible for this new immigration program. 

She added, “With the increasing demand for skilled labor in the Canadian province, the possibility of converting international students to permanent residents is extremely important.”

While the Minister of Post-Secondary Education, Training and Employment, Trevor Holder, commented, “We have been working on this new initiative for a long time, and we are pleased to announce its launch.” He added, “The new entrants of international students are the key to facing the challenges of our labor market.

By providing this additional immigration program, we are enabling more of our post-secondary institutions to develop the skilled workers that the Canadian province of New Brunswick needs.”


Who are the main targets of the International Graduate Immigration Program for Private Vocational Colleges


This new immigration stream targets fresh graduates from the four educational institutions mentioned above and those who do not qualify for work permits in Canada after graduation. 

In this case, the international student will not be required to have any work experience to apply for this immigration program but can apply for it after graduation directly from one of the relevant provincial colleges. 

“Private vocational colleges have been preparing local students with the skills they need to succeed for generations, and we are ready to do our part to bring international students to our province to participate in this,” said Tony Reeder, President of The Tony Reeder in New Brunswick, Canada. The new and unique program. 

He added, “We have worked closely to provide program and management recommendations to the immigration program to ensure that the program meets the needs of all international students interested in remaining to work and live in Canada.”

What professions are included in the international graduate migration program from private vocational colleges


The International Graduate Immigration Program for Private Vocational Colleges in the Canadian province of New Brunswick includes 19 different professions that are preferred over others:

  1. Social and community service workers.
  2. Early childhood educators and assistants.
  3. Educational assistants.
  4. Health-care aids.
  5. Home support workers.
  6. Licensed practical nurses.
  7. Paramedics and related occupations.
  8. Medical laboratory technologists.
  9. Medical laboratory technicians and pathologists’ assistants.
  10. Medical administrative assistants.
  11. Computer programmers and interactive media developers.
  12. Web designers and developers.
  13. Computer network technicians.
  14. User support technicians.
  15. Accounting technicians and bookkeepers.
  16. Payroll clerks.
  17. Import and export shippers and receivers.
  18. Supply chain and logistics supervisors; and.
  19. Production logistics coordinators.

According to the New Brunswick Labor Market Outlook Report 2018-2027, nearly half of all job openings in the next ten years will be in the following sectors:

  • Healthcare and social assistance
